John Townsend Reservoir is located in the Front Range.       The Penrose Trail is a splendid hiking trail in the vicinity of John Townsend Reservoir, and if you came for an overnight stay Golden Eagle Ranch RV Park is a wonderful site to camp. Be careful coming to the Front Range, you might not ever want to go home again. John Townsend Dam is a place that is near John Townsend Reservoir; going for a hike on the Indian Trail is always a nice adventure.
