The Twin Owls is a great spot to explore while in the vicinity, and the Cow Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. At Joe Mills Pond you can distinguish Oldman Mountain, and Twin Owls Motor Lodge is a perfect spot to get some rest. Joe Mills Pond gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and November meanwhile is the driest       month. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Joe Mills Pond. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Joe Mills Pond drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Black Canyon is always fun; Saint Vrain Creek - South is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available                  along the Gem Lake Trail; there's some flowing water close by, Beaver Brook is a stream you can explore during your stay. And if that's not enough there's a load more enjoyable stuff to do in the Front Range. Rocky Mountain National Park is a pleasant national park, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Livingston Lake. If you need a spot to stay The Stanley Hotel is a pleasant choice, and not far from Joe Mills Pond you'll come across Marys Lake which is a lovely lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Joe Mills Pond; Lily Mountain Trail is a nice local trail; a round of golf at nearby Estes Valley Recreation District Estes Park Golf Club is a nice way to kill some time. Just can't get enough of the Front Range. Camping at Manor RV Park and Motel is always a fine experience; a great location for whitewater paddling is Saint Vrain Creek - North. Joe Mills Pond truly is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. Stanley Park is a wonderful place any time of year; Joe Mills Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Manor Trailer Park and Motel is a splendid local campground. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Front Range.
