Summertime highs at Jet Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Jet Lake. Jet Lake gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain while January is mostly the driest month. Do pop by Shadow Lake right next door to Jet Lake, it's a picturesque lake,       and get yourself into a kayak and hit Colorado River. This lake is so wonderful. Clarion Collection Glenwood Springs is a good place to get some rest, and there are nice places to look at along the Fayville Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Jet Lake. If you need a site to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a pleasant choice; Jet Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Bison Lake Campground is a fine local campground. Camping at Supply Basin                  Campground is always a wonderful experience, and going for a hike on the Oyster Lake Trail is always a good adventure. At Jet Lake you can distinguish Blair Mountain, and don't leave Jet Lake without first going for a hike along the Last Chance Trail. Blair Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and Sunlight Mountain is a delightful local ski area.
