Yeah, come up here to the Sawatch Range for a wonderful time. Drift down the rapids of Clear Creek in a kayak; you can never get enough of the great skiing at Monarch. Paddling on Taylor River is so much fun, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Gunsight Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Pitkin Campground.

| | Pitkin Stock Driveway. At Jackson Lake all through the summer highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 30's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 20's, and night lows at Jackson Lake through the wintertime mostly sink into the-10's. Jackson Lake is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Gold Creek Campground is a magnificent site to camp nearby; Fairview Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by.

to Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park since you're here at Jackson Lake, and a lake close by is Annie Lake.
Be careful coming to the Sawatch Range, you might not ever want to go home again. The panorama of Fairview Peak from Jackson Lake is striking, and the Gold Creek Union Park Trail offers hiking at its best.

We've camped here since our now 40ish childrlen were young. They are now taking their children there. Mosca is beautiful both to the eye and the heart. It is a little more difficult now that there is no potable water, but one can use lake water for dishes, and must bring in drinking and cooking water.Fishing is great - the deer put on a show eve4ry night. The camp hostess, Mary, is there is to help you with problems, and to give great advice.Other than the water problem, this is the greatest camp ground I've ever occupied!... |
