Jack Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. Jack Lake is close to Grizzly Reservoir Dam which is a gorgeous site absolutely worth a visit, and the Matchless Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. For the duration of the months of summer at Jack Lake highs are regularly in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 30's; after       the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Jack Lake dip into the 0's. So many fun things to do at Jack Lake, so little time. Just can't get enough of Jack Lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Aspen Mountain, and swing by Galena Creek it's a great place to go to. If you came for an overnight stay Lost Man Campground is a nice location to camp; the top of Larson Peak is easily seen from Jack Lake. Just can't get enough                  of the Sawatch Range. If you need a place to stay VillaHotel Bears Creek is a good choice, and whitewater paddling is good on Lake Creek. At Jack Lake you don’t see much rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. If the weather is nice here at Jack Lake, you can go for a hike along the Timberline Trail; Roaring Fork has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby. And that's not all the things to do here in the Sawatch Range. Aspen Highlands is a very popular ski area nearby; do visit Petroleum Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Portal Campground if you're here at Jack Lake, and you'll hit upon a pretty lake called Truro Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
