If you are traveling by, why not stop by J O Hill Reservoir. Big Turkey Campground is a great campground here, and you can go for a hike on the Rule Ridge Trail. That right there is lots of exciting things already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all. A wonderful location for whitewater paddling next to J O Hill Reservoir is South Platte River; nearby you discover the Rule Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail. Be careful coming to the Front Range,

July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and nearby you locate
Shrewsbury Gulch which is a perfect location to stop at.
The peak of Bell Rock can be distinguished from J O Hill Reservoir, and if you're here, you could also explore striking Westcreek Lake. J O Hill Reservoir is one of the
lakes here in the Front Range. After a long day outdoors Towneplace Suites By Marriott Denver Southwest is a delightful place to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a good little spree to Little
Creek, and going for a hike on the South Manitou Park Trail is always a fine adventure. At J O Hill Reservoir during the summertime highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to J O Hill Reservoir.
