The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Yeah, come up here to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains for a good time. If you came for an overnight stay Pinyon Flats Campground is a good place to camp, and J M Dam is a delightful site. J M Reservoir is pretty dehydrated commonly; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest of the months is January. Through the summer months highs here at J       M Reservoir reach the 80's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 40's. During the winter highs are commonly in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for J M Reservoir. But wait, there's more to do right next door to J M Reservoir. Cross D Bar Trout Ranch is a good campground nearby, and don't leave J M Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Music Pass Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Cascade Trail                  is always a nice adventure, and why not take a little tour to South Bruff Creek if you're here.
