There are good spots to discover along the Music Pass Trail, and if you're looking for a tremendous visit, Great Sand Dunes National Monument is quite near. And if that's not enough there's a lot more enjoyable stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Not far from J M Reservoir, you'll come across Beeman Reservoir which is a lovely lake, and why not have a look at J M Dam if you're here. This lake is so       wonderful. Getting to South Bruff Creek from J M Reservoir is uncomplicated. Lakes? Sure, Wolf Reservoir is in the neighborhood. There is a tremendous hiking trail near J M Reservoir called the Cascade Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything J M Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Cross D Bar Trout Ranch. At J M Reservoir all through the summertime highs are in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down                  into the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for J M Reservoir. J M Reservoir gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August while January is ordinarily the driest month. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Going for a hike on the Strawberry Trail is always a great adventure, and you can stay the night at Pinyon Flats Campground.
