Ivanhoe Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Elk Wallow Campground is a good location to camp nearby, and do stop at Virginia Lake, it's a lovely lake. Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Get soaked paddling on Lake Creek, and do take a hike on the Highline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Fryingpan River, and Ivanhoe Lake is near Hagerman       Pass which is beyond doubt worth a visit. The skiing at Ski Cooper is perfect; Ivanhoe Dam has pleasant water scenery. While you're here at Ivanhoe Lake you can take a hike along the Main Range Trail, and The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is a brilliant site to get some rest. All the outdoors enjoyable things in close proximity to Ivanhoe Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a perfect site to spend                  a night or two; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Mount Massive Trail. Ivanhoe Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range. During the warm months at Ivanhoe Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Ivanhoe Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Beaver Creek; since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Edwards. Lyle Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and a charming lake like Lily Pad Lake is a perfect spot to check out. Having a pleasant time at Ivanhoe Lake is uncomplicated. Mary Queen Campground is a great local campground.
