Why not stop by Island Lake if you're passing through these parts. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Medicine Bow Mountains is so good!. Island Lake is a nice location to camp, Skyline Campground is a nice location, and on a great day you can take a hike along the North Fork Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Island Lake; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's

| | with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Island Lake.
It is very waterless here at Island Lake commonly; throughout the month of May you get the most rain around here; January meanwhile is the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, Joe Wright Creek offers some fine whitewater, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Blue Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Island Lake is one of the lakes here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Now, you may feel that's
plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. A lake close by is Bench Lake, and Clark Peak is gorgeous and can be seen from here. Just can't get enough of Island Lake. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River; dry warm beds await you at Gateway Inn Restaurant Cnf Ctr.
