Island Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This place, Island Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Tennessee Park is a tremendous place here at Island Lake, and Diamond Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Island Lake is mostly a reasonably dried out spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. And if that's not enough there's a heap more cool stuff to do in the Sawatch Range.

| | Getting to East Tennessee Creek from Island Lake is painless; Gleason Gulch is another fine site to stop by close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Island Lake is brilliant fun, Belle of Colorado Campground is a brilliant local campground; hiking along the Main Range Trail is glorious fun. Through the summertime months at Island Lake temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, typically in the 40's. During the | |

wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Island Lake are in the 0's. Island Lake is located in the Sawatch Range.
Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Highline Trail, and glorious skiing
awaits you at Ski Cooper. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Island Lake. Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. A great nearby hotel is Silver King Inn, and paddling on Arkansas River is so much fun.
Drift down
the rapids of Arkansas River in a kayak, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Sugar Loafin' RV/campground is a wonderful campground here, and there's no such thing as
a bad day of skiing at nearby Copper Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Island Lake you can take a hike along the Mount Massive Trail; if you're a golfer then a delightful nearby course is MT Massive Golf Course.
