Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Carbondale; Sunlight Mountain is a brilliant local ski area. Lakes? Sure, Lost Lake is in close proximity; camping at McClure Campground is always a pleasant experience. During the warmest time of the year here at Island Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 50's.       All through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Island Lake. This place rocks, just look at all the enjoyable things to do near Island Lake. Not far from Island Lake, you'll find Aspen Leaf Reservoir which is a scenic lake, and camping is available at Osgood Campground. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. A good spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Island Lake is Crystal River, and the                  Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway offers hiking at its best. The view of beautiful Huntsman Mountain near Island Lake is pleasant, and there's great hiking along the Terror Trail.
