If you are traveling by, why not stop by Island Lake. Island Lake is a location that is rather dehydrated ordinarily; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Island Lake. Skiing at Winter Park is one of those things you just have to do, and lakes are such serene places, why not go to Cony Lake.

| | Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Boulder Creek. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Island Lake has to offer, you can camp at Shelter Rock Campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Front Range. There's some flowing water nearby, Thunderbolt Creek is a stream you can have a look at while here; beautiful scenery and good skiing is what you acquire at Berthoud Pass. This lake is so wonderful. a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park since you're here at Island Lake. There's so much to do here at Island Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pawnee Lake Campground is a tremendous site for that. So many enjoyable things
to do here in the Front Range, too good to be true. Everybody loves Fox Park, and some attention-grabbing geology is available here, Elk Tooth is right here. All year is a fine time in the Front Range if you love the outdoors. There's
great hiking along the Saint Vrain Glacier Trail; since you're here why not take a look at Cony Pass. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. After a long day outdoors Inn At Grand Lake, The is a brilliant site
to spend a night or two; the panorama of Cooper Peak is pretty. At Island Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with
temperatures at Island Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. A pleasant location for whitewater paddling next to Island Lake is Fraser River, and great hiking is available along the Buchanan Pass Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Gourd Lake Trail; dry warm beds await you at Bighorn Lodge.
