Nearby Cony Pass is a great spot to go if you're at Island Lake, and Elk Tooth is an exciting thing to spot since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Pawnee Lake Campground is a glorious spot to do that, and you can run the rapids of Fraser River. At Island Lake you don’t see much precipitation; August is       the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. So many exciting things to do in the Front Range, not enough time. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Boulder Creek, and there are fine places to discover along the Buchanan Pass Trail. So much cool stuff to do at Island Lake, so little time. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Upper Lake, and if you need a location to stay Aspen Lodge                  is a tremendous choice. Just can't get enough of Island Lake. Going for a hike on the Gourd Lake Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and naturally, this is a brilliant region for folks who like lakes, Gourd Lake is a lake close by. Island Lake is a beautiful lake in the Front Range. You have to without doubt dedicate some time to Fox Park if you're here at Island Lake; the snow is pleasant at Berthoud Pass. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Front Range. All our national parks are brilliant locations to visit, and Rocky Mountain National Park is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Island Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shelter Rock Campground is a nice spot for that, and don't leave Island Lake without first going for a hike along the Saint Vrain Glacier Trail. Through the summer months, highs typically are in the 70's at Island Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's while Island Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. This place, the Front Range, has so much outdoors exciting things.
