If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Island Lake. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Island Lake get into the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 30's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows during the winter for Island Lake tend to be in the-20's. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Pitkin Stock Driveway; Island Lake is magnificent

| | enough to spend more than a day at, Garfield Campground is a magnificent local campground. Good hiking is available along the Browns Creek Trail, and Chalk Creek Pass is unquestionably a great spot to pop by.

is always a good experience. So many amusing things to do here in the Sawatch Range, too delightful to be true. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Arkansas River, and the slopes of Monarch are so inviting nobody can resist.
This
lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Island Lake without first going for a hike along the Fooses Creek Trail; get covered with water paddling on Arkansas River. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to catch a glimpse of at North Fork
Dam close to Island Lake, and Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a very delightful site to take a look at. All year is a good time in the Sawatch Range if you adore the outdoors. If you need a place to stay Best Western
Vista Inn is a delightful choice, and the summit of Mount Aetna can be seen from Island Lake.
It is very dry here at Island Lake typically; August is when you get the most rain here; June is when it's the driest. There are other places here than Island Lake, for example Billings Lake.
