This lake is so wonderful. Winter Park has splendid slopes and a friendly staff, and magnificent hiking is available along the Arapho Glacier Trail. The top of Mount Albion is easily observed from Island Lake, and if you have time to spare, Rocky Mountain National Park is a national park worth stopping at. A beautiful lake like Goose Lake close to Island Lake is a fine site to check out; if you need a place to stay       Stone Mountain Lodge And Cabins is a good choice. Be careful coming to the Front Range, you might not ever wanna return home again. Boulder Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby; Island Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Pawnee Campground is a good local campground. That right there is lots of cool things already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all. You'll stumble on a wonderful lake called Silver Lake near Island Lake,                  and going for a hike on the Rainbow Lakes Trail is always a good adventure. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Not far from Island Lake you acquire some brilliant water scenery at Island Lake Dam, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lodge At Nederland. Island Lake is mostly a relatively arid place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Niwot Ridge Trail, and paddling on Boulder Creek - South is so much fun. If you like the outdoors, you'll go for Island Lake. Summertime highs at Island Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's; the nighttime is a bit colder of course, commonly in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Island Lake. Hit the slopes at Berthoud Pass close at hand.
