Burnt Logs Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and dry warm beds await you at Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC. A lake nearby is Apple Tree Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is good on Dolores River. This lake is so wonderful. Mesa Verde National Park is a magnificent site in close proximity to Iron Spring Reservoir; the slopes of Hesperus Ski Center are so inviting noone can resist. Iron Spring Reservoir is mostly a pretty waterless location;

Going for a hike on the Stoner Stock Trail is always a great adventure, and if you came for an overnight stay Deer Hill Expeditions is a magnificent location to camp. The Forks Campground is a magnificent local campground, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Chicken Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stock Driveway which is a great hiking trail. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are really plentiful here at Iron Spring Reservoir. While staying at Iron Spring Reservoir you could always look at Little Buck Canyon, and if you need
a site to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a brilliant choice. High temperatures at Iron Spring Reservoir all through the warm months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Iron Spring Reservoir.

 | Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |

 | A.M. Puett Reservoir was originally constructed in 1905, and then reconstructed in 1960. It contains 163 surface acres when full and is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife and open for public fishing from the bank and from trolling motor powered boats. No swimming is allowed.  | 15 miles away We stayed in this campground mid-July 2006. Very efficient, friendly park. Adequate power, water, and sewage hookups. Rates were reasonable; and the manager did indicate that longer stays were discounted. Nice fenced dog run for our puppies to enjoy. The microbrewery in town has a wide selection of locally made beverages. I would gladly stop at La Mesa RV Park again.... |
