While you're here at Irish Lakes you can take a hike along the Joe Trail, and get covered with water paddling on Yampa River. Irish Lakes is pretty arid generally; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain; January on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the days of summer at Irish Lakes temperatures are frequently in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the       winter come with highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Irish Lakes temperatures descend to the 0's. On a wonderful day at Irish Lakes you can take a hike along the Matt Trail, and the panoramas at Dinosaur National Monument will blow your mind.
