At Lake Irene you can catch a glimpse of Jackstraw Mountain; Lake Irene is a great spot to camp, Grand View Campground is a great spot. At Lake Irene you don’t see much rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Timber Creek Campground is a nice campground here. Summertime highs at Lake Irene frequently tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the
30's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Lake Irene. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Joe Wright Creek; since you're here you can take a hike along the La Poudre Pass Trail.
