For the period of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Inverness Reservoir plunge into the 10's. Playing golf is lots of fun at Inverness Golf Course; not far from Inverness Reservoir you'll locate Englewood Reservoir which is a pretty lake.

Good fishing here if you are willing to experiment. Limited shoreline access because of the weed structures but those weeds hold good size bass. I have found it easy to catch 10-14 inch largemouth in the open spots with plastic worms and surface lures. I have only fished there four times as of this writing (07/13/2007) but have enjoyed each visit. My best fish so far was a 17'' largemouth caught on a Jitterbug. Take the kids!... |
