There's so much to do here at Indian Spring that you need to camp here for a while, Great Sand Dunes Oasis is a great place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are splendid; Cotton Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Indian Spring, and if you have the time, Great Sand Dunes National Monument is a national park worth going to. High temperatures at Indian Spring through the       months of summer are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Indian Spring through the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 0's. Around Indian Spring you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is January. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Indian Spring. If you came to camp Pinyon Flats Campground is a wonderful                  spot to do that. Near Indian Spring you stumble on the Marble Mountain Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Twin Lakes.
