Do stop by Idylwilde Reservoir while you're in this part of Colorado. The Front Range scenery is always beautiful. Idylwilde Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. A journey to Rocky Mountain National Park is recommended. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Front Range. Good hiking is available along the Jug Trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Big Thompson River.

A pleasant spree to Cedar Park is a glorious way to spend an afternoon; Lake Shore Lodge is a good location to get some rest. Idylwilde Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Cedar Springs Reservoir is a nearby
lake, and Idylwilde Dam is a scenic spot, beyond doubt worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Idylwilde Reservoir; Crosier Mountain Trail is a perfect local trail; Palisade Mountain is a
peak you can spot from Idylwilde Reservoir. So many exciting things in the Front Range, just tremendous. You'll meet a lot of people from Fort Collins-Loveland here, and getting to North Fork Big Thompson River from Idylwilde Reservoir
is simple.
What a place this is for outdoors people. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Thompson River, and if you need a site to stay Bighorn Moutain Lodge is a magnificent choice. Idylwilde Reservoir is a location that is
quite dry generally; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and December is the month with the least moisture. A perfect site near Idylwilde Reservoir is Saddle Notch, and camping at Carter Valley Campgrounds is always a brilliant experience.
