Why not stop by Ice Pond if you're passing through these parts. So many fun things to do in the Sawatch Range, not enough time. If you need a place to stay Best Western Vista Inn is a pleasant choice, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Arkansas River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Ice Pond has to offer, you can camp at Gamblers Edge RV Park, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Wapaca Trail. So much cool stuff

the Sawatch Range. Hop Gulch is in the vicinity of Ice Pond and is a great site, and if you're a golfer then a pleasant close by course is Collegiate Peaks Golf Course.
Summertime highs at Ice Pond generally tend to be in the
70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 30's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Ice Pond. Buena Vista Super 8 Motel is a perfect spot to get some rest, and you
can have a fine hiking adventure along the Fourmile Creek - Buffalo Meadows Trail. It is very waterless here at Ice Pond usually; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and October on the other hand is the driest.
