The Sawatch Range scenery is always beautiful. So many enjoyable things in the Sawatch Range, just astonishing. Do check out Harvard Lakes near Ice Pond, it's a beautiful lake; no need to travel far to go to attention-grabbing stuff like Elephant Rock. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Ice Pond. Don't leave Ice Pond without first going for a hike along the Harvard Trail, and       Hop Gulch is a wonderful spot to stop by. Around Ice Pond you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August; October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's splendid hiking along the Fourmile Creek - Buffalo Meadows Trail; you can stay the night at Coast to Coast. And that's not everything you can do here in the Sawatch Range. The Wapaca Trail offers hiking at its best, and Ice Pond is a good place to                  visit for more than one day, Gamblers Edge RV Park is a good place to camp nearby. At Ice Pond through the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Ice Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. A good place for whitewater paddling close to Ice Pond is Arkansas River, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Vista Inn is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a pretty lake called 3 Elk Reservoir near Ice Pond, and Buena Vista Super 8 Motel is a brilliant place to get some rest.
