After a long day outdoors Best Western Vista Inn is a glorious spot to spend a night or two; an afternoon playing golf at Collegiate Peaks Golf Course is always a delight.       Interesting geology is available here; Elephant Rock is in the neighborhood of Ice Pond, and since you're here, you could pop by Fourmile Creek. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great globe it would be. Going for a hike on the Wapaca Trail is always a great adventure, and since you're here, you could also explore pretty 3 Elk Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Harvard Lakes is a nearby lake that you could take a                  look at; the Harvard Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. Ice Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Gamblers Edge RV Park is a splendid local campground; if you're here why not have a look at Hop Gulch. Ice Pond is ordinarily a relatively dehydrated place; the month with most of the rain is August, and October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Near Ice Pond you discover the Fourmile Creek - Buffalo Meadows Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and camping at Coast to Coast is always a nice experience. High temperatures at Ice Pond during the summer months are in the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's.
