A lovely lake like Island Lake close to Ice Lake is a great site to stop by; going for a hike along the Brooklyn Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop at nearby Porcupine Creek while you're here at Ice Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Mineral Creek - South. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do right next door to Ice Lake. You'll need more

| | than a day to explore everything Ice Lake has to offer, you can camp at South Mineral Campground; Ice Lake Basin is a delightful site any time of year. Do go to Fuller Lake next to Ice Lake, it's a picturesque lake, and why not head up to Silverton and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Highline Trail is magnificent fun, and there are some good whitewater spots on Lime Creek. Hotel Columbia is a good place to get some | |

rest, and Telluride is a very popular ski area around here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. If the weather is fine here at Ice Lake, you can go for a hike along the Sheep Trail; if you need a place to stay The Ice
House Lodge is a great choice. The vista of Beattie Peak from Ice Lake is scenic. There's so much to do here at Ice Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Riverwood Inn and RV Park is a pleasant place for that. During the summertime
months highs here at Ice Lake get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; overnight lows in the 0's for Ice Lake. Ice Lake gets very little rainfall; July is when you get the most rain here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
