The beauty of Hunt Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a great place near Hunt Lake. Hunt Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Garfield Campground is a fine local campground, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Arkansas River. So many fun things in the Sawatch Range, just striking. There are nice locations to explore along the Fooses Creek Trail; what would winter

| | be without some skiing at Monarch.
Not far from Hunt Lake, you'll stumble on North Fork Reservoir which is a scenic lake, and at Boss Lake Dam near Hunt Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see. This lake is so wonderful. Buena Vista Super 8 Motel is a glorious place to get some rest. Lakes are delightful; Waterdog Lakes is a lake that's in the vicinity of Hunt Lake. do here at Hunt Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Monarch Park Campground is a great site for that, and you can go for a hike on the Quakey Mountain Trail.
Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more exciting
stuff to do here at Hunt Lake. Bald Mountain can be seen from Hunt Lake, and tremendous hiking is available along the Pitkin Stock Driveway. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawatch Range. The warmest time of the year brings
highs in the 70's to Hunt Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Hunt Lake are in the-20's.
Hunt Lake is a
location that is rather arid generally; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is June.
