Hunky Dory Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. On a lovely day you obtain a sight of Whitney Peak from Hunky Dory Lake; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Sopris Creek. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Sawatch Range has to offer. Nearby lakes? Sure, Seven Sisters Lakes is close to Hunky Dory Lake, and there's whitewater on Homestake Creek for all you thrill seekers. A perfect site to camp here at Hunky

| | Dory Lake is Gold Park Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Christie Lodge. Through the summertime months highs here at Hunky Dory Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Hunky Dory Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Edwards here. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Eagle River; Hunky Dory Lake is right by the Half Moon Trail. Hiking along the Main Range Trail is wonderful fun; there's no such thing
as a bad day of skiing at close by Vail. It is very arid here at Hunky Dory Lake ordinarily; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawatch
Range. Having a glorious time in the Sawatch Range is uncomplicated. After a long day outdoors The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch is a great place to spend a night or two, and perfect skiing awaits you at Beaver Creek. This lake
is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Fall Creek Trail; a nice spot to take a look at is Fall Creek Pass. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Why not camp at Half Moon Campground if you're here at Hunky Dory Lake, naturally you could also pop by Cleveland Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.

I would highly recommend this hike. Make sure you have everything you need for AT LEAST 2 days. The hike to Upper Piney will take 8 hours (all up hill)...But only 4 hours to get back to Piney River Ranch.... |
