Around Hunky Dory Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things near Hunky Dory Lake. The skiing at Vail is nice. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Half Moon Trail, and a lake close by is Cleveland Lake. Summertime highs at Hunky Dory Lake generally tend to be       in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Hunky Dory Lake dip into the 0's. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Sawatch Range. While you're here at Hunky Dory Lake you can take a hike along the Fall Creek Trail; Hunky Dory Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Half Moon Campground                  is a glorious local campground. Eagle River is a tremendous whitewater spot right next door to Hunky Dory Lake; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Beaver Creek is pretty near. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Sawatch Range. Some nearby water includes Sopris Creek, unsurprisingly you could also visit Seven Sisters Lakes since you're here; it's not far at all. You can run the rapids of Homestake Creek right next door to Hunky Dory Lake, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Main Range Trail.
