Why not stop by Huck Finn Pond if you're passing through these parts. If you come at the right time of year, Animas River offers some tremendous whitewater, and Huck Finn Pond is not the only place nearby, Durango Regulatory Reservoir is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Huck Finn Pond you can take a hike along the Goodhope Stock Driveway; camping at Huck Finn Pond is delightful fun, Cotton wood RV Park is a delightful local campground.

Highline Loop Trail. The wonderful folks of Durango like to hang out close by, and you can hit the slopes at Durango in the neighborhood.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like
Hillcrest Golf Club, and Hesperus Ski Center is a very popular ski area in close proximity. If you need a place to stay Jarvis Suite Hotel is a great choice, and since you're here, you might as well visit Dry Gulch. What a place this
is for outdoors folks.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the vicinity of Huck Finn Pond. A splendid nearby hotel is Historic Strater Hotel, and going for a hike along the Highline Trail will let you absorb the
natural beauty of this neighborhood. During the summer months at Huck Finn Pond highs are commonly in the 70's with night lows in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows in the 0's for Huck Finn Pond.
