High temperatures at Hourglass Reservoir during the summer are in the 70's; the overnight is rather colder of course, generally in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows at Hourglass Reservoir throughout the winter regularly fall into the 0's. Hourglass Reservoir is a brilliant place to visit       for more than one day, Tom Bennett Campground is a brilliant place to camp nearby; a wonderful close by hotel is Fawn Valley Inn. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hourglass Reservoir; Stormy Peaks Trail is a splendid local trail, and great water scenery is available at Hourglass Dam near Hourglass Reservoir. Man, is there a load of enjoyable stuff to do close to Hourglass Reservoir. Do have a look at Comanche Reservoir right next door to Hourglass Reservoir,                  it's a gorgeous lake; paddling on Cache La Poudre River - South Fork is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Emmaline Lake Trail; if you need a site to stay Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a splendid choice. Good hiking is available along the Hourglass Trail, and since you're here, you could also have a look at pretty Emmaline Lake. Hourglass Reservoir is a location that is rather waterless typically; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest of the months is December. This lake is so wonderful.
