Hotchkiss Reservoir is regularly a reasonably dry location;                  the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest of the months is February. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Hotchkiss Reservoir highs are regularly in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Hotchkiss Reservoir. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, not enough time.
