It's always fun to stop by Hossick Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Fairfield Pagosa Resort; on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the San Juan Mountains. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Piedra River; close by you come across the Middle Mountain Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail.

| | Lake; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is June. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. Be careful coming to Hossick Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. Camping at Cimarrona Campground is always a delightful experience, and a great location to camp here at Hossick Lake is Teal Campground.

a delightful place. All through the warm months here at Hossick Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 30's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's,
and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Hossick Lake temperatures sink to the-10's. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the San Juan Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rio Grande, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Long Ridge Stock Driveway.
