Horsethief Lake is pretty dried out regularly; most of the snow falls during December while June is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. At Horsethief Lake you can spot Forest Hill, and Mysterious Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Have       a nice hiking adventure along the Star Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Roaring Fork. If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Horsethief Lake. While you're here at Horsethief Lake you can take a hike along the Timberline Trail; paddling on Taylor River is so much fun. Through the months of summer at Horsethief Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 30's. Through the wintertime                  the highs are generally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Horsethief Lake temperatures sink to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
