Horseshoe Lake is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Hiking along the Lake of the Clouds Trail is splendid fun; if you came to camp Lake Creek Campground is a wonderful location to do that. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more fun things to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Arkansas River is a fine whitewater spot close to Horseshoe Lake, and       Horseshoe Lake is right by the Hermit Lake Trail. Through the summer months, highs typically are in the 80's at Horseshoe Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Horseshoe Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains is peerless!                  You can catch a sight of Eureka Mountain from Horseshoe Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are brilliant; Eureka Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Horseshoe Lake, and do take a hike on the Rito Alto Trail. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. A pleasant spree to Groundhog Basin is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. There's so much to do here at Horseshoe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, North Crestone Campground is a pleasant site for that. Horseshoe Lake is pretty dehydrated commonly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
