Horse Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. At Horse Pond you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Vail and strap some skis to your feet; Rock Creek Park is a great spot. All through the days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Horse Pond with night lows in the 40's. This lake is so wonderful. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Rock Creek Trail; a splendid location for whitewater paddling is Eagle River.
