Take a hike on the Stoner Stock Trail, and a journey to Hoppe Point Spring will fill your spirit with great feelings. This lake is so wonderful. If you want a little side trip, try Dry Canyon, and McPhee Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Hoppe Point Reservoir Number 2 is a wonderful  
   lake next to Hoppe Point Reservoir Number 1, and if you need a spot to stay Days Inn Cortez is a perfect choice.
Dry warm beds await you at Dunton Hot Springs; Hoppe Point Reservoir Number 1 is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Mc Phee Mobile Home and RV Park is a nice location to camp nearby. Be careful coming to Hoppe Point Reservoir Number 1, you might not ever wanna go home again. Why not take a refreshing hike along the McPhee Stock Trail.
 
               You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hoppe Point Reservoir Number 1 has to offer, you can camp at Cozy Comfort RV Park and Mountain Retreat. Hovenweep National Monument is a wonderful place in close proximity to Hoppe Point Reservoir Number 1.

We stayed in this campground mid-July 2006. Very efficient, friendly park. Adequate power, water, and sewage hookups. Rates were reasonable; and the manager did indicate that longer stays were discounted. Nice fenced dog run for our puppies to enjoy. The microbrewery in town has a wide selection of locally made beverages. I would gladly stop at La Mesa RV Park again....

Puett Reservoir

A.M. Puett Reservoir was originally constructed in 1905, and then reconstructed in 1960. It contains 163 surface acres when full and is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife and open for public fishing from the bank and from trolling motor powered boats. No swimming is allowed. The lake is on private land and access is limited to 3 feet above the high water line....

Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed....
