Hopkins Reservoir is pretty dehydrated frequently; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Not far from Hopkins Reservoir you obtain some pleasant water scenery at Hopkins Dam, and if you come at the right time of year, Roaring Fork offers some brilliant whitewater. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Hopkins       Reservoir. Green Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and why not camp at Rock Gardens Mobile Home Park if you're here at Hopkins Reservoir. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Hopkins Reservoir while night lows are regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Hopkins Reservoir. While you're here at Hopkins Reservoir, you could also take a look                  at beautiful Van Cleave-Fisher Reservoir, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Grizzly Creek. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is tremendous at Sunlight Mountain; golf can be played at Ironbridge Golf Club. A tremendous site to camp here at Hopkins Reservoir is Glenwood Canyon Resort; if you need a location to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a great choice.
