    Do stop by Homestake Reservoir while you're in this part of Colorado. Go for a hike on the Main Range Trail; unsurprisingly East Fork Homestake Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit. So many cool things in the Sawatch Range, just remarkable. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Beaver Creek; an out of the ordinary thing to stop at near Homestake Reservoir is Homestake Project Dam. So much exciting stuff to do at Homestake Reservoir, so little time.  
   Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Eagle River, and there's delightful hiking along the Half Moon Trail.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Homestake Creek; don't leave Homestake Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Fall Creek Trail. Camping is available at Mary Queen Campground, and if you need a site to stay The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch is a good choice. All through the warm months
 
               at Homestake Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 30's; overnight lows in the 0's for Homestake Reservoir.
Homestake Reservoir gets very little rain; most of the rain falls through July; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Homestake Reservoir there are plenty of folks from Edwards, and skiing at Ski Cooper is one of those things you just must do. This site is excellent, just look at all the enjoyable things to do close to Homestake Reservoir.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Gold Park Campground is always a splendid experience; there are other spots here than Homestake Reservoir, for example Lake Esther. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Sawatch Range. Paradise Lakes is a wonderful lake right next door to Homestake Reservoir; Christie Lodge is a perfect location to get some rest. Homestake Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range.
