Glide down the rapids of Green River in a kayak, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Rocky Reservoir is just a very short distance away. Near Hog Lake you hit upon brilliant spots like Chokecherry Draw, and there's tremendous hiking along the Matt Trail. There's so much to do here at Hog Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Red Creek Campground is a nice site for that, and if you're       here at Hog Lake, checking out Flynn Bottom is a must. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Pugmire Pocket Campground is a glorious place to do that, and if you've had enough of Hog Lake, Tittle Reservoir is close by. So many entertaining things next to Hog Lake, completely mind-boggling. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Jones Hole Creek, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Hog Lake; Joe Trail is a tremendous local                  trail. Good hiking is available along the Hoy Trail; a tour to Dinosaur National Monument is worthwhile. Hog Lake is pretty dehydrated ordinarily; May is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Hog Lake get into the 90's with night lows in the 50's.
