At Hofmann Reservoir through the summertime months highs are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Hofmann Reservoir. There is a good hiking trail close to Hofmann Reservoir called the Alder Creek Trail; after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. On a fine day at Hofmann Reservoir you can take a hike along the Spring Creek Trail; Palmer Spring is a great local attraction. Mountains, just mind-boggling. Paddling on Uncompahgre River is so much fun, and a good location to camp here at Hofmann Reservoir is Centennial RV Park. And that's not all there is to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
Near Hofmann Reservoir you locate the Dallas Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and a picturesque lake like Paxton Reservoir is a splendid spot to stop by. Man, is there lots of cool stuff to do in close proximity to Hofmann Reservoir.
Get wet paddling on San Miguel River; West Pond is a glorious lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Telluride is one of those things you just must do, and if you need a site to stay Mountain Lodge at Telluride is a great choice. Hofmann Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
