Why not stop by Hofmann Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Summertime highs at Hofmann Reservoir usually tend to be in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Hofmann Reservoir during the winter ordinarily descend into the 10's.

a spot to stay Canyon Trails Inn is a good choice; skiing at Telluride is one of those things you just have to do. Yeah, come up here to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains for a good time. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but
if it's for you then we recommend San Miguel River, and great hiking is available along the Alder Creek Trail.
Go for a hike on the Spring Creek Trail, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Uncompahgre River. This lake
is so wonderful. A tour to Palmer Spring will fill your spirit with perfect feelings; if you came for an overnight stay Centennial RV Park is a good place to camp.
Be careful coming to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, you might
not ever wanna go back home again. One of the overriding highlights of the surroundings of Hofmann Reservoir is Flat Top; there's great hiking along the Dallas Trail.
