This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Camping at SummerLan RV Park is always a great experience; Raton Super 8 Motel is a tremendous site to get some rest. The peak of Barela Mesa can be spotted from Hoffman Lake, and Demchek Lake is a nice lake nearby. All the outdoors cool things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. Don't leave Hoffman Lake without       first paying a visit to Dick Messer Spring; if you need a place to stay Budget Host Raton is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Capulin Volcano National Monument is worthwhile, and Julius Parks is a great place. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Hoffman Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are frequently in the 40's; overnight lows in the 10's for Hoffman Lake. Hoffman Lake gets                  very little rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is mostly the driest month. Hoffman Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise.
