VillaHotel La Niche is a good location to get some rest; Himmelland Reservoir is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Elk Wallow Campground is a pleasant local campground. You'll meet a lot of people from Edwards here, and camping at Dearhamer Campground is always a fine experience. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Sawatch Range.       There are splendid places to explore along the Last Chance Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Roaring Fork. Summertime at Himmelland Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Himmelland Reservoir. Having a great time at Himmelland Reservoir is easy. Gotta ski! Aspen Highlands is a fine site to                  do that, and obviously, this is a brilliant region for folks who like lakes, Crooked Creek Reservoir is a lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Chapman Trail, and you're almost certainly into lakes, Tellurium Lake is one of those close by. Visit Deeds Creek while you're here at Himmelland Reservoir, and don't leave Himmelland Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Sawyer Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Very charming scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Aspen Mountain; glide down the rapids of Fryingpan River in a kayak. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. It is very dried out here at Himmelland Reservoir mostly; most of the rain falls through July, and the driest month of the year is February. You completely ought to love the Sawatch Range. Himmelland Dam is worth visiting if you're here, and after a long day outdoors VillaHotel Bears Creek is a brilliant location to spend a night or two.
