     At Highland Mary Lakes you don’t see much precipitation; most of the rain falls during August; June is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Highland Mary Lakes through the summertime are in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Highland Mary Lakes dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. And that's not everything you can do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.  
   If you came to camp Silver Summit RV Park And Jeep Rentals is a tremendous location to do that; why not head up to Kendall Mountain and strap some skis to your feet.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. There's fine hiking along the Deer Park Trail, and at Highland Mary Lakes you can distinguish Mount Rhoda. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Animas River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Lost Lake. Good hiking
 
               is available along the Whitehead Trail, and don't forget to take a splendid little journey to Mountaineer Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Royal Tiger Basin is right here at Highland Mary Lakes; Best Western Twin Peaks Lodge & Hot Springs is a tremendous place to get some rest. Lakes are magnificent; Verde Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Highland Mary Lakes, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Highland Mary Lakes; Brooklyn Trail is a good local trail. Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Highland Mary Dam is a pretty location close to Highland Mary Lakes. There's so much to do here at Highland Mary Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Silverton Lakes Campground is a tremendous location for that.
Man, is there heaps of fun things to do near Highland Mary Lakes. Silverton is a very popular ski area around here. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Mineral Creek - South has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and after a long day outdoors St.Elmo Hotel is a good site to spend a night or two.
