What a nice lake Hidden Spring Reservoir is. The High Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you get bored of Hidden Spring Reservoir you could also explore nearby Willow Lake. All through the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Hidden Spring Reservoir. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows at Hidden Spring Reservoir through the winter commonly drop into the 0's. Dry warm beds await

Not much precipitation falls here at Hidden Spring Reservoir; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most snow, and June on the other hand is the driest. If you come at the right time of year, Colorado River offers some good whitewater, and the top of Little Sugarloaf Mountain is easily made out from Hidden Spring Reservoir. site to stay Americinn - Eagle, Co is a perfect choice. Hiking along the Ute Trail is magnificent fun; soar down the rapids of Sweetwater Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Hidden Spring Dam is gorgeous and it's near Hidden Spring Reservoir, and a perfect spot to camp here at Hidden Spring Reservoir is Anderson Camps LTD.

It is very nice to fish from a boat or bank, but I prefer boat....Wife and I where fishing Stagecoach, then we heard of Yamcolo, it was about 20 mins out of Yampa. We came around the corner of the earthen dam side, looked down the fish where jumpin all over the place grabbed the poles and it was off to the rodoe,15 fish as fast as we could 45min past sorry did not have camera going back this year in couple of weeks can't wait New Castle Colo, Apple Tree Park... |
