     But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There are tremendous locations to look at along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway, and not far from Hermit Reservoir Number 2 you'll hit upon S Lazy U Reservoirs which is a pretty lake. It is very dehydrated here at Hermit Reservoir Number 2 usually; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are magnificent;  
   Hermit Lakes is a lake that's near Hermit Reservoir Number 2. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hermit Reservoir Number 2 has to offer, you can camp at Castle Lakes Campground Resort.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Silverton; get yourself into a kayak and hit Henson Creek. This lake is so wonderful. South Lazy U Dam is an exciting thing
 
               to check out, and float down the rapids of Rio Grande in a kayak. If the weather is wonderful, you acquire a brilliant sight of Hermit Peak from Hermit Reservoir Number 2; a delightful site is Trouble Hill.
Stay the night at Highlander RV Campground, and don't leave Hermit Reservoir Number 2 without first going for a hike along the Cebolla Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Hermit Reservoir Number 2. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Hermit Reservoir Number 2.
Hermit Reservoir Number 2 in fact is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. Grouse Creek flows through this region, and you can go for a hike on the Long Ridge Stock Driveway. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
