Go to Hermit Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Be careful coming to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. The Venable-Comanche Trail offers hiking at its best, and delightful hiking is available along the Hermit Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

During the warm days of summer at Hermit Lake highs are generally in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. Through the wintertime
this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Hermit Lake fall into the 0's. Hermit Lake is pretty dehydrated regularly; during the month of August you get the most rain around
here, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Hermit Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Creek Campground is a tremendous spot for that, and if you want to play
some golf, you're in luck because Challenger Golf Club is around here.
There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Hermit Lake. Phantom Terrace is an out of the ordinary site to take a look at while at Hermit Lake, and at Hermit Lake you can distinguish Eureka Mountain.
