What a nice lake Herman Reservoir is. All the outdoors fun things in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. Sanborn Park is right here at Herman Reservoir; you can go for a hike on the Pool Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Antone Spring Campground, and Herman Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Big Red Reservoir is a nearby lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.

| | A visit to Burnt Stump Spring will fill your spirit with magnificent feelings; close by you hit upon the Horsefly Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.
Take a little visit to Hanks Creek since you're here at Herman Reservoir, and Iron Spring Campground is a tremendous campground here. in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Miguel River. This lake is so wonderful. During your visit to Herman Reservoir you'll meet some folks from Montrose for sure, and San Miguel
River is a tremendous whitewater spot close by.
A pleasant close by hotel is Quality Inn & Suites. Summertime at Herman Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. High temperatures
all through the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Herman Reservoir. Herman Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
Herman Reservoir is usually a quite
waterless place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. If you desire a little side spree, try Little Red Canyon, and going for a hike on the Dry Creek Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
