A great place close to Herman Reservoir is Little Red Canyon, and you can go for a hike on the Pool Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Sanborn Park is a pleasant spot to stretch your legs a bit, and Hampton Inn Montrose is a wonderful site to get some rest. So many exciting things next to Herman Reservoir, definitely fantastic. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, too nice to be true. There are wonderful places

| | to discover along the Dry Creek Trail, and not far from Herman Reservoir you'll find Middle Sanborn Park Reservoir which is a stunning lake. Herman Reservoir is pretty dried up frequently; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Herman Reservoir. Float down the rapids of San Miguel River
in a kayak, and going for a hike on the Horsefly Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Man, is there plenty of exciting stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Miguel River, and
Burnt Stump Spring is a delightful local attraction. Having a tremendous time at Herman Reservoir is easy. Antone Spring Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Montrose for sure. The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
