If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Herman Lake. The peak of Mount Bethel can be seen from Herman Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear Creek - West Fork. Not much rainfall falls here at Herman Lake; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is tremendous at Arapahoe Basin.

| | Park Range, too perfect to be true. A magnificent site to camp here at Herman Lake is Mizpah Campground, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Snake River Village Townhomes. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Saint Louis Trail is always a delightful adventure, and camping is available at Byers Creek Campground. So much cool stuff to do here at Herman Lake, too great to be true. water paddling on Woods Creek.
Near Herman Lake you stumble on the South Fork Trail which is a good hiking trail, and why not head up to Loveland and strap some skis to your feet. Man, is there a lot of amusing things to do in
the Park Range. You'll meet a lot of people from Silverthorne here; if you need a location to stay Key To The Rockies Lodging At Keystone is a glorious choice. The Park Range scenery is always beautiful.
Summertime brings highs
in the 70's to Herman Lake. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 30's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Herman Lake plunge into the-10's.
