The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Henry Lake through the wintertime usually fall into the-10's. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Mill Lake, and the slopes of Monarch are so inviting noone can resist. Henry Lake is pretty arid ordinarily;       December is when you get the most snow here; the driest month of the year is June. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. If you need a place to stay The Alpenblick By Aspen Lodging Company is a good choice; a tour to Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is worthwhile. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. Man, is there heaps of fun stuff to do in the neighborhood of Henry Lake. Gunsight Pass is a great                  site to spend some time at; don't leave Henry Lake without first going for a hike along the Gunsight Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Henry Lake is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Gold Creek Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby, and swing by Brush Creek it's a glorious spot to check out. So many enjoyable things to do in the Sawatch Range, not enough time. This is a fine neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Lamphier Lake is a lake nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Summerville Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Henry Lake has to offer, you can camp at Comanche Campground, and Broncho Mountain is easy to spot from Henry Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
