That right there is heaps already, but it goes on; Heart Lake has it all. Camping at Midland Campground is always a magnificent experience, and Heart Lake is next to Riflesight Notch which is undeniably worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Boulder Creek offers some glorious whitewater, and a       lake nearby is Rogers Peak Lake. What would winter be without some skiing at Berthoud Pass, and on a pretty day you get a tremendous vista of Mount Bancroft from Heart Lake. The slopes of Winter Park are so inviting noone can resist, and a splendid close by hotel is Zephyr Mountain Lodge. For the period of the months of summer at Heart Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures throughout                  the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Heart Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Not much precipitation falls here at Heart Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear Creek - West Fork, and going for a hike along the Mary Jane Ski Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the James Peak Lake Trail, and Ice Lake Dam is an exciting thing to check out. And that's not all you can do here at Heart Lake.
