Take a little journey to Arena Creek if you're here at Head Lake, and a pretty lake like Bachelor Lake is a brilliant location to stop at. Head Lake is a location that is quite dried out generally; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to       do right next door to Head Lake. For the duration of the summertime at Head Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Head Lake tend to be in the-10's. On a magnificent day at Head Lake you can take a hike along the Loop Trail, and Inn of the Rio Grande Hotel and Conference Ctr is a brilliant                  site to get some rest. If you came for an overnight stay Great Sand Dunes Oasis is a perfect spot to camp, and camping is available at San Luis Lakes.
