     Hazel Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A perfect close by hotel is Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel, and a great site to camp here at Hazel Lake is Vallecito Campground. You absolutely should adore Hazel Lake.
On a great day at Hazel Lake you can take a hike along the Brooklyn Trail, and you can run the rapids of Animas River. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful place like Chicago Basin here at Hazel Lake is too
 
   tremendous to miss, and Kendall Mountain is a fine local ski area. A splendid spot near Hazel Lake is Columbine Pass, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Columbine Lake is just a very short distance away.
So much amusing stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, just phenomenal. The sight of striking Bullion Mountain near Hazel Lake is delightful; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Silverton is reasonably near. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff
 
               to do are in fact abundant here at Hazel Lake. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Whitehead Trail; camping is available at Blue Spruce Trailer Park. And that's not all the things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. While you're here at Hazel Lake you can take a hike along the Deer Park Trail; Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts is a great spot to get some rest.
This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Vallecito Creek for all you thrill seekers, and naturally, this is a brilliant vicinity for people who like lakes, Lillie Lake is a lake in the vicinity. Not much precipitation falls here at Hazel Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. All through the days of summer highs here at Hazel Lake get into the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Hazel Lake plunge into the 0's.
