For the period of the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Haypress Lake. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Haypress Lake. The view of Flatiron Mountain from Haypress Lake is pretty, and great hiking is available along the Fayville Trail. It is very arid here at Haypress Lake frequently; the       month with most of the rain is October, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Sunlight Mountain. Bison Lake Campground is a perfect campground here; a pleasant journey to Elbow Park is a good way to spend an afternoon. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. A golf course next to Haypress Lake is Glenwood SPGS Golf Club, and if you need a spot to stay Clarion Collection Glenwood Springs                  is a splendid choice. Blue Lake is a wonderful lake in the neighborhood of Haypress Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Haypress Lake; Last Chance Trail is a tremendous local trail. Paddling on Colorado River is so much fun; dry warm beds await you at Red Mountain Inn. This lake is so wonderful.
