    Many people like to go to Hay Lake. Be careful coming to Hay Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. The summit of Crystal Peak can be observed from Hay Lake, and don't leave Hay Lake without first going for a hike along the Fall Creek Trail. Hay Lake is ordinarily a reasonably dehydrated place; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hay  
   Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Put some time aside to spend at Treasure Falls if you're here at Hay Lake, and a lake close by is Thompson Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you get bored of Hay Lake, you could also check out close by Crystal Lake; there are some good whitewater spots on Henson Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort

Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Lake Fork Gunnison River, and Sugarloaf Rock is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Alpine Gulch is a perfect site to spend some time at, and there are fine sites to explore along the Big Blue Trail. All year is a wonderful time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Take a little visit to Crystal Creek since you're here at Hay Lake; Hay Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Mill Creek Campground is a nice place to camp nearby.
Throughout the warm months, highs regularly are in the 70's at Hay Lake, and the night is somewhat cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter highs are typically in the 30's while Hay Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Going for a hike on the Ridge Stock Driveway is always a perfect adventure, and Lake City Campground is a wonderful campground nearby.
