If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Hay Lake. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. There's so much to do here at Hay Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mill Creek Campground is a splendid spot for that, and you can go for a hike on the Fall Creek Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Hay Lake while night lows are usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are typically in the

| | 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Hay Lake. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Hay Lake. Take a little visit to Crystal Creek while you're here at Hay Lake, and paddling on Henson Creek is so much fun. Not much rain falls here at Hay Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things truly is bountiful here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. | |

Since you're here at Hay Lake why not have a look at Alpine Gulch, and going for a hike on the Big Blue Trail is always a good adventure. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan and Jemez
Mountains. Sugarloaf Rock is an interesting thing to see if you're here at Hay Lake, and Thompson Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. On a delightful day you get a panorama of Crystal Peak from Hay Lake; do put some time
aside to spend at Treasure Falls while you're here at Hay Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Lake Fork Gunnison River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hay Lake has to offer, you can camp at
Lake City Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Comfort Inn Ouray; close by you stumble on the Ridge Stock Driveway which is a nice hiking trail.
