Hay Lake is a lake worth visiting. Man, is there a lot of fun stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. If the weather is gorgeous, you get a magnificent panorama of Crystal Peak from Hay Lake; there are other places here than Hay Lake, for example Crystal Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan Mountains. You simply must love the San Juan Mountains. If you fancy a little side visit, try Alpine Gulch, and the Big Blue Trail offers hiking at its best.

| | This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Take a side journey to Crystal Creek, and there's brilliant hiking along the Ridge Stock Driveway. No need to travel far to take a look at attention-grabbing stuff like Sugarloaf Rock, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Fall Creek Trail. Hay Lake is commonly a rather arid place; most of the rain falls all through August, and June is the month with the least moisture.

to spend at Treasure Falls if you're here at Hay Lake; why not camp at Mill Creek Campground since you're here at Hay Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful site to camp here at Hay Lake is Lake City Campground, and there's
whitewater on Lake Fork Gunnison River for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Henson Creek; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Ouray is a magnificent choice.
All
through the summertime months at Hay Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Hay Lake dip into the 10's.
